Workshop for Male Singers

Are you a tenor, baritone or bass? Come along to this workshop to give it a go! When: Wednesday, 20 March 2019, 7.30 to 8.30PM Where: Uniting Church, 251 High Street, Northcote La La La – Melbourne’s French Choir – welcomes enthusiastic new members of all ages who can sing in tune. The choir rehearses in Northcote on Wednesday evenings. You don’t need to speak French (though it’s helpful).

Bastille Day Celebrations

  Our Bastille Day Celebrations were a great success. We performed at the Bastille Day French Festival held at the Meat Market in North Melbourne. We performed to a capacity audience at our our French Soirée in Northcote. If you enjoy things French, mark this event in your calendar for next year.

Deeper Harmonies Afternoon Concert

LaLa La – La  Chorale Française de Melbourne and the Diamond Valley Brass Band proudly present Deeper Harmonies, an afternoon of music and voice. Martin Scrimshaw conducts the Diamond Valley Brass and Paola Bastreri-Grey leads La La La choir in an unusual and  fantastic mix of choir and brass band. Bastille Day Concert

Bastille Day, the French National Day, commemorates the storming of the Bastille on 14 July 1789. We will be celebrating with our annual Bastille Day Concert on Saturday, 22 July 2017. Come hear us at the annual choral@montsalvat festival

It’s a privilege for La La La to be invited to again sing as part of the annual ‘choral@montsalvat choral festival in the round’, hosted by the Melbourne Chamber Choir and the Melbourne Women’s Choir, and organised by the Faye Dumont Singers. This year’s festival is on Sunday April 30. You can hear us at from 2 – 2.45 pm in the Barn Gallery, and again at 4pm as part of the Showcase of Australian choral works. Memories of ‘A Very Specky Christmas’

Memories of the ladies of La La La on ABC-TV’s Spicks and Specks (the original) Christmas Special “A Very Specky Christmas” screened in 2010. Incidentally, that was their final Christmas special – we must have been a hard act to follow! Unfortunately, the ladies’ big moment, when we sang three of our own arrangements in 4-part harmony (SSAA) is no longer available – unless someone can find it????

‘Side by Side’ with Diamond Valley Brass Band
